Lillian Kyampaire Ruzindana

LillianLillian Ruzindana was born December 1967 in Uganda and is now the owner and operator of Gifted Hands Creations where she employs 60 women as weavers. Most of these women are widows and orphans who were previously unemployed. Some are mothers to disabled children who need to be able to support themselves as well as their children.

After completing her education in Uganda before the liberation, Lillian joined Kenya Skyways Tour and Travel Institute where she graduated with a diploma in Tours and Travel in 1993.

She completed training with Developmental Strategies South Africa in Leadership skills and Customer Care Technique and then went to work for Rwandair for eight years. Lillian resigned the position with Rwandair to become self employed in a field for which she had a passion and came up with "Gifted Hands Creations."

Lillian also volunteers as a family coordinator for Special Olympics in Rwanda, an organization that enables mentally handicapped children to participate in and learn from sports.

She believes that Peace Through Business will help improve her business skills and enable her to pass on her knowledge to other women in Rwanda. Lillian is married and has three children.
