Mr. Mark Stansberry - Board Member

Mr. Stansberry currently serves as:

- Chairman (2006-2007) of the Board of Regents of the Regional University System of Oklahoma, appointed by Governor Keating, term ending 2010. (He is a former member of the Board of Regents, University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, appointed by Governor Bellmon, 1988-1993).
- Chairman (2007), Governor’s International Team , served under Governor Keating and Governor Henry.
- Chairman, State Chamber’s Energy Council , 2003-2007
- Board of Directors, People to People International , member of delegation to Russia-1992, and Delegation Leader to P. R. China-1994
- President of International Society of Energy Advocates, 2003-Present
- Chairman and Founder of the International Energy Policy Conference, which was founded in 1992 at the University of Oklahoma. The 2007 Annual Conference will comprise four official Oklahoma Centennial events.

Mr. Mark StansberryFrom 1975-76, Mr. Stansberry worked on the staff of U. S. Senator Dewey F. Bartlett.

From 1977-1987, his work experiences included serving as President of Moore-Stansberry, Inc., real estate developer, and Senior Vice President of a western Oklahoma bank.

In 1988, he founded The Oklahoma Royalty Company. Mr. Stansberry serves as President of the company.

He has testified before the U. S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and other government entities.

In 1991, Mr. Stansberry co-authored the energy handbook, The Acquisition Process and Due Diligence: Minimize Risk/Maximize Return! published in 1991.  He is also the author of The Braking Point: America’s Energy Dreams and Global Economic Realities, published in 2007.

Mr. Stansberry is a 1977 graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, a graduate of the Fund for American Studies/Georgetown University-Institute on Economic and Political Systems, graduate of the Intermediate School of Banking, Oklahoma State University and graduate of the Commercial and Agricultural Lending School, University of Oklahoma. He has completed energy and international institutes at the University of Texas at Arlington and other institutes. Completed The University of Texas at Dallas-Institute on Excellence in Corporate Governance, Compliance and Beyond:  Developing Effective Directors, October, 2005.

Mr. Stansberry has organized international/federal government relations projects with Czech Republic, Mexico, Bulgaria, Russia and other countries. In 1997, he arranged a key meeting with then Prime Minister who is now serving as President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus, and U.S. Senator Lott which led to NATO expansion in 1997-98. He has negotiated agreements with entities internationally. Under Mexico Trade Commissioner Carlos Bello, Mr. Stansberry served on Advisory Committee to the Mexico Trade and Tourism Committee.

Mr. Stansberry and his wife, Nancy, reside in Edmond, OK. They have been married for over thirty years and have three grown children.
