MSE Admissions
Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a B.S. degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program. Those who have an undergraduate degree in a closely related technical field such as computer science or physics will be considered for admission based on their college work and an appropriate proposed plan of study.
GRE scores must be submitted as well as transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work. Admission is normally given to those students who have demonstrated the ability to do quality work. Work experience will also be considered for those applicants who have been working in their careers for at least five years. The GRE exam requirement may be waived if the applicant has this work experience and an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants who do not meet all requirements for full admission may be admitted on a provisional basis that requires them to complete specific performance requirements for continued enrollment.

International students have additional requirements to meet.
Undergraduates in engineering programs at OC may be accepted into the graduate program during their senior year as part of a five-year BS plus MS program, provided all other admission requirements are met.
Students who are not seeking admission to the MSE degree program at OC, but are instead registering for classes as a special student, visitor from another university, or only to audit classes are not required to submit GRE scores or official transcripts.
