What other suggestions do you have?

Visit campus and our programs at your first opportunity. There is nothing like seeing first hand what the people and the facilities are like.
- Spend a week this summer at our Introduction to Engineering program ( July 29 - August 3, 2007).
- For high school students who will be juniors or seniors in Fall 2007.
- Work hard in high school, take the rigorous courses, and make sure you develop your leadership and service abilities by volunteering to serve in worthwhile organizations in the school and the community.
- If your ACT is at least 25 or your SAT at least 1130 (Math/Verbal), apply for the CES Scholarship
- Take the ACT or SAT again if necessary.
- A good score is a good indicator of your potential for success..
- Attend our
Fall, Spring and/or High School Days.
- You can interact with our faculty and current students and tour our facilities.

In the fall, we offer a test from which we award scholarships, so you will want to make sure you take it!

Apply for financial aid at OC between November and February.

Scholarships, grants and other forms of financial aid are most available then.
- Make sure you check the CES box!

- Attend the Engineering Summer Academy during the summer before you begin..
- You will be able to get a jump start on school, be making new friends, meeting professors, receiveing college credit, and pre-enrolling for classes.
Faculty Facts
Mickey Cowan, Professor of Accounting, is a Certified Public Accountant, interested in ethics and accounting theory. Cowan works at OC "because of Elaine Kelly and Phil Lewis. I taught 30 years in state schools, I truly enjoy being in the classroom. The students and my business school colleagues being believers in Christ keep me here."
