The teacher education program at Oklahoma Christian prepares you to meet

program has national recognition, with accreditation by the National Council
for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
Our program has a solid reputation with nearby
school districts in both urban and suburban areas, affording you the opportunity
to complete field experiences and student teaching in quality school settings
located near the campus.
Oklahoma Christian's School of Education has produced countless alumni who were successful in the classroom- both as students and as teachers. OC education students boast a 100% pass rate on the Oklahoma General Education Test, Oklahoma Subject Area Tests and the Oklahoma Professional Teaching Exam.
OC's education programs are accredited by the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. Areas of emphasis include Early Childhood, Elementary, English, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Science, and Social Studies
Faculty Facts
Dr. Caren Feuerhelm, Professor of Education, was once mistaken for the writer of The Cat in the Hat. She says, "As I was observing a student interacting with young children, one of the five-year-old girls asked me if I was Dr. Seuss." She may not be Dr. Seuss, but Feuerhelm has been published. She wrote "Lifeworld of a Primary Teacher" for the January 2007 issue of the NAECTE Journal.
