Information Technology Core Course Revamped
The core course entitled Information Technology has been remodeled to better meet student needs and adequately prepare them for the world of information technology, focusing on cutting edge technology in the workplace.
Online Core Courses Offered This Fall
Starting in August, core courses will be offered both in the traditional classroom setting and online. This will allow students to have more flexibility with scheduling and opportunities while pursuing their MBA.
Program Recognizes 500th Graduate
In August 2007, the MBA program saw its 500th graduate walk across the stage.
Online Leveling Courses Offered, Starting in January
Leveling courses are now offered both in person and online. Starting with our Summer 2007 semester, some track classes are now available online, giving students more freedom to complete courses according to their own schedules.

Based on our market research and student/graduate feedback, here are some of the improvements we have made to our program recently:
Financial Services Track
To assist those students who work in banking and investment careers, we have added a new Financial Services elective track. Courses include: Financial Planning; Investments; Advanced Financial Management; and Risk Management. This track is designed for those attempting CFP certification.
Human Resources Management Course Added to the Leadership / Org Dev Track
Our graduate exit surveys indicated an interest for a class in Human Resources Management. We have added a Human Resources Management course to our Leadership/ Organizational Development elective track to be offered this summer. Students interested in people management now have another option for their elective course work.
Non-Profit Management Course Added to the Leadership / Org Dev Track
To add more emphasis in the management of Non-Profit organizations, we have added a Non-Profit Management course to our Leadership / Organizational Development elective track. Now students interested in pursuing a career in the non-profit sector can add this course as an elective.
One-Night-Per-Week Option Added
Some students said they would be interested in participating in our program, but their busy lives simply wouldn't allow them two evenings per week in the classroom. Addressing this issue, the program now has two cohorts that meet one night per week for seven weeks per class, allowing the MBA to be completed within two years.
Faculty Facts
One thing Jody Jones, Professor of Business, likes about his job at OC is that the atmosphere allows him to put his family first. "I enjoy helping students develop both professionally and spiritually," he says. When it comes to academics, he is interested in helping students with their university experience.
