Jennifer Gray, RN., PH.D, FAAN

Jennifer has been a nurse since 1977.  As an Oklahoma Christian University student, she completed her BSN at the University of Central Oklahoma. She initially served as a clinic nurse in Cameroon, West Africa, for 20 months. She opened a maternity clinic and made visits to the homes of children who were underweight. In the US, she has worked in oncology and home health.  She began her teaching career in practical nursing programs and joined the faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington School of Nursing in 1989 as she completed her master’s degree. At UT Arlington, she taught in the BSN, RN to BSN, MSN, and PhD programs and developed several new courses. She became the Associate Dean of the Ph.D. Program in 2005. She was given additional responsibility for MSN graduate programs over the years. As the George W. and Hazel M. Jay Professor, Jennifer led small teams of nurses to Uganda for 8 years, where they taught research workshops and clinical workshops. She also served as the interim dean of the College of Nursing for 15 months.  In 2013, she was inducted as Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. Jennifer retired in May 2015 after 26 years and was inducted as a Professor Emeritus for the UT System. She and her husband, Randy, both alums of OC, had dreamed of coming back to the university to work at some time in their lives. They are very excited to have “come home.” Jennifer plans to continue her work in Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania. At OC, in addition to serving as the Associate Dean for the College of Natural and Health Sciences, she is teaching nursing courses. “I have the best job in the world- I love nursing and I love teaching and I get to do both!” Jennifer and Randy were members at the New York Avenue Church of Christ in Arlington for 30 years. Since moving to Edmond, they have placed membership at Oakdale Church of Christ and looks forward to working with this church family.

Kay feels privileged to be Chair of the nursing department at Oklahoma Christian University.  She has over 25 years of nursing education experience and holds the Certified Nurse Educator credential through the National League of Nursing.   Kay is a member of the American Nurses Association, Oklahoma Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, National League of Nursing, and American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Her areas of focus in nursing include Alzheimer’s disease, test anxiety reduction and the correlation of student’s perception of faculty caring and student success.  Kay is married to Richard and they have one daughter.  She and her family attend Memorial Road Church of Christ.

Rhea Ann Lee, RN, MSN

Rhea Ann has been an RN since 1991 and has worked multiple areas over the years including: Cardiac-pulmonary, emergency room, ICU and inpatient psych.  Her most recent work has focused on Alzheimer's and Geriatric psychiatric illnesses and the lack of service available for this special population.  Rhea Ann is married to Fred and has two daughters, Lucy and Rebecca. Rhea Ann is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, ANA and Oklahoma Nurses Association.  She is excited about teaching at OC and looks forward to future growth in the OC school of nursing.

Beth Scott RN, MSN, CNE

Beth has been a nurse since 1997 and has worked in Oncology, Cardio-thoracic surgery, ICU, and Urgent Care. She is a Certified Nurse Educator. She has been teaching since 1999 and loves to mentor and encourage nursing students. She is member of Sigma Theta Tau, Oklahoma Nurses Association, National League of Nursing and American Association of Colleges of Nursing. She is the faculty sponsor of OC's Oklahoma Nursing Students Association. Beth is married to Steve and has two beautiful girls, Allie & Maggie.

Shawna Hood, RN, MSN

Shawna Hood is interested in researching treatment options besides medication stimulants for the treatment of ADHD. She is one of the sponsors for of the HonduraServe Mission trip to Honduras, where they provide medical services to several groups throughout the country. Shawna is a member of Sigma Theta Tau. She attends Britton Road Church of Christ where she is a Bible class teacher and helps with the youth group. She has two girls, Taylor and Corrine.

Becky O'Neal, RN, MSN, CNE

Becky has been a nurse since 2001 with a background in medical-surgical nursing, travel nursing in California and Oklahoma and most recently, cardiovascular OR at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, National League for Nursing, and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Her research interests include simulation as an educational tool and barriers for English as Additional Language (EAL) students in nursing education. She is married to Michael and has three children. She attends Memorial Road Church of Christ, where she is active in the children's ministry.

Marissa Diller, RN, MSN

Marissa Diller has been a nurse since 2000 and has worked in Antepartum, Pediatrics, Mother/Baby, and the Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU). In 2009, she became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and has a passion for supporting and educating others about breastfeeding. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, as well as International Lactation Consultant Association and the United States Lactation Association. Marissa is married to her college sweetheart, Rod, whom she met at OC as a pre-nursing major. Rod and Marissa have three beautiful girls and one handsome boy.  They attend the Church of Christ at Oakdale.

Christy Hallock, RN, MSN

Christy has been a nurse since 2008.  She is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University’s first nursing class of 2008.  She has worked at Children’s Hospital in downtown Oklahoma City on the Pediatric Surgical Unit.  She credits the present nursing faculty for growing her into the nurse and servant leader she has become and feels honored to now be colleagues with them.  The Oklahoma Christian University Nursing Program cultivated a sense of life-long learning into Christy’s career and she graduated with her Master’s Degree from The University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 2013.  “Being back at OC as an alum is unique and being back here as faculty is a blessing because I am getting to impact the field of nursing by helping create and cultivate nurses that have the ability to impact the profession in big ways”.  Christy lives in Oklahoma City with her husband David, also an OC alum, and their son and daughter.  The Hallock family attends the Oakcrest Church of Christ.

Courtney McCoy, RN, MSN

Courtney has been a nurse since 2008. She is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University’s inaugural class in 2008.  She has worked at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Mercy Hospital and primarily with Indian Health Services involved with supervising, case management and diabetes education. Courtney feels a strong sense of loyalty to OC and the current faculty, as many of them were her instructors at one point. “I love being at OC because of the close relationships that this campus cultivates, between both students and faculty”. Courtney resides in Oklahoma City with her husband, Caleb. They are members at the Oakcrest Church of Christ.

Trevy Rauch has been a registered nurse since 1994. She attended Oklahoma Christian University 1990-1992 and completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at OU College of Nursing in 1994. She specializes in pediatric nursing. She is a member of the Oklahoma Nurses Association. She received her master’s degree in nursing education at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She is married to Darren and has two children. She attends Memorial Road Church of Christ where she is active in the women’s and children’s ministry.

Stephanie has been the RN-BSN assistant since 2014. She enjoys interacting with people all over the world through the online format of the program. Stephanie and her husband Ben, who both attended OC for undergraduate degrees, are happy to be back in the OC family. They are active at the Del City Church of Christ in the Oklahoma City area.

Donna has been the administrative assistant with the OC School of Nursing for over seven years. She is very thankful for the opportunity to work in a wonderful Christian environment.  She loves and adores all the students and enjoys getting to know each and every one of them.  She is married to her husband John and they have one beautiful daughter, Monica. She and her husband attend the New Hope Church of Christ in Edmond.
