Student Organizations

Spanish Club

The Spanish Club is open to all students -- Spanish-speakers or not, Spanish students or not -- who are interested in the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. Some of their activities have included sopapilla and cookie sales and celebrations of Hispanic holidays (such as Dia de los muertos and early Cinco de mayo fiestas). During finals week last spring they held a pinata party to let students beat out some frustration. For more information, contact Dr. Tina Ware .

Sigma Tau Delta

Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honor Society. The local chapter, Rho Mu, holds several events each year, including book sales and fundraisers. New members are inducted each fall and spring. Sigma Tau Delta has also created a monthly 'zine called The Skinny Voice. It features fiction and nonfiction written by members of Sigma Tau Delta. Each issue is distributed around campus on the first of every month. For more information about Sigma Tau Delta, contact Dr. Cami Agan, or check out the chapter's new website.
