Become a Master of Theological Studies at Oklahoma Christian

An MTS degree challenges you to grow

The Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) degree is designed for students who want to pursue doctoral studies or those who simply want to improve their understanding of the Bible or theology. The M.T.S. degree requires the completion of 48 credit hours. Students can focus in one of two areas of study: Scripture or Theology.

Christian mentors guide you on your path

Each Master of Theological Studies student compiles a portfolio consisting of specified papers with faculty feedback and student reflections. The portfolio serves to demonstrate the formation of the student in the areas of exegesis of Christian texts and the ability to think theologically. Students should specify a thesis or non-thesis track after consultation with their advisor. For those in the thesis track, a 60-90 page thesis will be developed with the guidance of a faculty advisor.

OC’s Graduate School of Theology requires applicants to have a completed bachelor’s degree with a 3.0 cumulative GPA from a regionally accredited university before beginning graduate classes.
