Get Real

It's tough working for a church.  We can help.  Our graduate degrees in theology are real and practical.  On-campus faculty will give you rich insight into God's word and prepare you for the challenges at work.

Whether you are completing your bachelors degree, have been called to serve God from another career, or are currently working in ministry, the Graduate School of Theology at Oklahoma Christian University invites you to advance your ministry training and preparation with us.  You have found a place that will faithfully equip you for ministry.

Welcome to the Graduate School of Theology at Oklahoma Christian University.

Our Mission

Affiliated with the Churches of Christ, the Graduate School of Theology at Oklahoma Christian University welcomes all students who honor the university's commitment to academic and spiritual excellence and who respect the academic and spiritual pursuits of their fellow students.  All students who desire a superior graduate level education in biblical studies, theology, and practical ministry are welcome.

Our Schedules

The majority of fall and spring semester courses are taught on Tuesdays for the convenience of student travel.  Many of our students commute from Tulsa and Altus, while others live as far away as Wichita, Kansas, Dallas, Texas, and Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  They are all able to study at Oklahoma Christian University because they only have to make the trip to campus once a week.

In addition to our regular semester format, we offer online courses and week-long and weekend intensives to make your education as flexible and accessible as possible.

Our Technology

OC is a wireless campus and partners with Apple's Educational Program.  Graduate students have the option to lease a MacBook while they are enrolled in the program and keep it after graduation.

We use Blackboard educational software for all of our courses.  Whether in the classroom or at home, Blackboard offers an online forum for discussion, posting assignments, giving quizzes, etc.  It is a solid program that helps merge the traditional classroom setting with advances in technology.  Blackboard is intuitive and easy to use for everyone.

The Master of Divinity is an 89 credit hour integrated program that seeks to expand your knowledge of the biblical text, Greek and Hebrew languages, church history, theology, and practical ministry.  The Master of Divinity is, for many, the basic theological, professional degree and is required for endorsement to become a Chaplain.  You can complete the degree in three to four years.

The Master of Arts in Ministry prepares you for competent leadership in youth, family, or congregational ministry.  The Master of Arts in Ministry centers your study on the biblical text, Greek language, and the skills to enhance your selected ministry track.  The Master of Arts is 42 credit hours and can usually be completed in two years.
