Dr. Cassady is thrilled to be working with such a wonderful faculty, staff, and group of students. Much of her research interests center around classroom management and teacher preparation. Dr. Cassady enjoys spending time with her family, reading, dabbling in photography, and loves Broadway musicals. Dr. Cassady is married to Scott, and they have one son named Leo. Dr. Cassady and family attend Memorial Road Church of Christ.

Dr. Cleveland began his work at OC in 1994, and he has also served his country in the Army. During his time at OC, he has received the OC Leadership Award and the Gaylord Chair for Teaching Excellence. Dr. Cleveland is interested in reading comprehension, and “student interaction in teaching and learning.” He is married to Kay, and has three children: Sara, Stacey, and Todd who graduated from OC. He attends Sooner East Church of Christ.

In 2006 he was the Oklahoma Adapted PE Teacher. Max Dobson has several favorite memories of OC. He coached the baseball team to two wins over the University of Oklahoma in 1973-74. He also coached to baseball team to the College World Series in 1972. In 1980 he took the women’s basketball team to the state championship. In 1976 he began teaching special needs children – one of his special talents. Dobson belongs to two associations: Oklahoma Association of Heath, PE, Recreation and Dance, and AAHPERD. His wife’s name is Marilyn and they have three children, Tami, Todd and Teri. They attend Memorial Road Church of Christ. Dobson says that he works at OC because he hopes to share Christian influence to future teachers and coaches.

Email: Caren Feuerhelm
Dr. Caren Feuerhelm was once mistaken for the writer of The Cat in the Hat. She says, "As I was observing a student interacting with young children, one of the five-year-old girls asked me if I was Dr. Seuss." She may not be Dr. Seuss, but Feuerhelm has been published. She wrote "Lifeworld of a Primary Teacher" for the January 2007 issue of the NAECTE Journal. She has had several professional memberships including: the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Southern Early Childhood Association, and the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators. She is also in the Oklahoma Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators, and the Association for Childhood Education International, and she was on the governing board as the Newsletter Chairmen for the Early Childhood Association of Oklahoma. Dr. Feuerhelm is in the Who's Who Among University and College Teachers, and received the Faculty Technology Achievement Award in 2007. At OC she helps out by sponsoring the social service club Lambda Chi Zeta. She also tutors students at Western Village Academy in reading and math. She says that she works at OC because of the students. She says, "The students in my field are dedicated to ensuring the well-being of young children. We share a common goal." Dr. Feuerhelm has two children: Chad and Cori Bryant, and is married to Dr. Len Feuerhelm.

Everyday at OC is a holiday for Dan Hays. Not only does he love basketball, but he is well learned in the sport. He has written several basketball related articles and drills. He has also written booklets on “shooting a basketball” for camps. He is a member of several associations: Oklahoma Education Association, Oklahoma Coaches Association, Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association, and National Association of Basketball Coaches. He enjoys all sports and walking. He is married to JoAnn, and has two children: Stacie Michael and Michelle Lynn. They attend Memorial Road Church of Christ. Hays really enjoys being at OC, and says he can’t pick a favorite memory because he has too many great memories.

Randy Heath is the Track and Field Coach at OC. He belongs to two associations; one of them is American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. The other is the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Track and Field Coaches; he is a member, and a former President of NAIA. Heath was inducted into the OC Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997, and inducted into the NAIA Hall of fame in 2004. Both inductions were in the “coach” category. He is married to Barbara and has two grown children, Brent Heath and Lisa Heath Marti, who are both OC graduates. He also has two grandchildren. He attends Memorial Road Church of Christ.

“I love teaching tomorrow’s teachers. Our candidates and faculty are dedicated, caring, and focused on excellence.” Dr. Martin is interested in classroom technology and assessment. He is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and serves as the Unit's accreditation coordinator. He has his superintendant certification, and previously served as a building principal and classroom teacher. Dr. Martin attends Memorial Road Church of Christ.

Dr. Miller is the Chair of the Department of Education. She is also the Director of Teacher Education. Dr Miller is interested in cultural issues, and she works at OC for "the opportunity to mentor students in our program." Dr. Miller is the sponsor for Pi Lambda Theta. Her favorite memory of OC as a student was the Gamma Rho spring sing and class with John Vincent. Her favorite memory as a faculty member was when "the entire school of education attended a National conference." She and her husband Kris have three children: Chase, Makenzie, and Luke. She attends Memorial Road Church of Christ.

Mrs. Morris' research interests are in Response to Intervention, school change, and struggling readers. "Working at OC with tomorrow's teachers is very rewarding. It is amazing to watch them become confident in their teaching skills as they progress through their courses. The love and passion our pre-service teachers show toward their students brings Christ into the lives of many." Rhonda and her husband, Mark, attend Oakcrest Church of Christ where Mark serves as an elder. They have two children. Alan and his wife, Kathryn, live in Dallas and have two children, Aubrey and Owen. Kurt and his son, Kaden, live in Tulsa. Mrs. Morris enjoys playing with her grandchildren, reading, and music.
