CENG-3223 Design of Embedded Systems
Embedded microcontroller system design using an integrated development environment (IDE). Starting with a set of specifications, a self-contained finished microprocessor-based product will be designed and built. Topics will include controller selection, in-system programmability, internal-external peripherals, assessment of computing-memory resources needed, interface standards, software development, conservation of power, performance improvement, layout of printed-circuit boards, and test-validation strategies. Lecture - 2 hours; Laboratory - 3 hours. This course is normally offered in the spring semester.
