Eagle Broadcasting
The award-winning Department of Communication at Oklahoma Christian University has excellent opportunities for a hands-on educational experience.
Eagle Angle is a student-operated television weekly news program broadcast on Cox Communications in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa markets. Students go out into the field to report on events around OC and the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Students also have the opportunity to anchor the newscast or work on the technical side running cameras, floor managing, technical directing, producing and directing.
Students also handle the production of the OC's home basketball game broadcasts on Cox in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, and do live radio play-by-play of all OC basketball games. Click here to watch or listen to OC basketball broadcasts.
The opportunity to produce shows for Eagle Radio provides another outlet for students to hone their on-air skills.
OC mass communication alumni have gone on to work in TV, radio, film, and other media professions around the world.
