Student Leadership

College of Business Administration Sponsored Clubs

Accounting Club

The OC Accounting Club started in 2006. The first organizational meeting was held in November 2006, with the Oklahoma Society of CPAs (OSCPA) speaking about its internship program and student member program. The Accounting Club meets several times each semester to schedule guest speakers, provide resources to the accounting faculty, and to involve accounting majors in greater leadership roles on campus. For more information, contact Elaine Kelly or the Oklahoma Society of CPAs at www.oscpa.com.

American Marketing Association

The OC chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) was officially chartered in 2008 and has become a very successful organization in a short time. The OC AMA has received national recognition at the AMA Collegiate Conference in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017, being selected from 140+ schools for demonstrating excellence in membership, community service, chapter planning, and reporting. The conference is hosted by AMA International, the parent organization for collegiate chapters. Membership in the AMA brings many benefits to students, such as the chance to network with marketing professionals who speak on campus at chapter meetings, the opportunity to develop leadership skills through officer positions or committee leadership, and membership in Oklahoma City’s AMA chapter. For more information, go to www.amaoc.com or contact faculty advisor Dr. Kerianne Roper.
