*Lynn McMillon, Ph.D. M.A., Harding Graduate School of Religion M.Th., Harding Graduate School of Religion Ph.D., Baylor University Office phone: 405.425.5370 Email: Lynn McMillon Dr. McMillon graduated from OC in 1963. He is now the Dean of the College of Biblical Studies. He is also the President, CEO, and Editor of the Christian Chronicle. Dr. McMillon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in the State of Oklahoma. He has conducted marriage enrichment seminars for churches for twenty-five years. Dr. McMillon has also spoken on numerous lectureships and in many churches both across the nation and in many foreign countries. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature. He and his wife Joy have two sons: Jeff and Greg, four granddaughters and one grandson. Dr. McMillon is an elder at Memorial Road Church of Christ. Author of numerous articles and four books: A History of the Churches of Christ in Tate County, Mississippi, 1865-1965. Published by the author, 1966. "The Church is Alive and Well on Planet Earth." Paul Brazle, B.Ed. Visiting Missionary A.A., Western Christian College - Arts B.A., Abilene Christian University - Bible B.Ed., Oklahoma Christian University - Social Studies Office phone: 405.425.5383 Email: Paul Brazle Mr. Brazle – along with his wife Carol – joins us from Belgium to be a visiting missionary here at OC. He says, “We are happy to be here on campus for this year as visiting missionaries and to interact with the student population regarding any aspect of mission work.” He received the Dean’s Award upon graduating WCC, and was Magna Cum Laude at ACU. Brazle has been the Coordinator of Advanced Bible Study Series for fourteen years. This takes place every February in Gemünden, Germany. He is a member of an eighteen voice ensemble from Belgium, the Trinid Singers and has been for twenty years. This group has toured the U.S. two times. Paul and Carol have four children: Matthew, Miranda, Adam, and Jesse. The older three have all attended OC. Jesse is 8. Paul and Carol attend Quail Spring Church of Christ while he is in Oklahoma. |

*Bob Carpenter, Ph.D. M.A., Stanford University M.A., Abilene Christian University Ph.D., University of California at Santa Barbara Office phone: 405.425.5376 Email: Bob Carpenter Dr. Carpenter is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. He is interested in cross-cultural ministry, urban ministry, new religious movements, and Latin American religions. He is the faculty sponsor for Outreach, and attends Memorial Road Church of Christ. His wife is Donna, a 1973 Oklahoma Christian graduate; they have two children: Kelly and Cristina. Dr. Carpenter and his wife served ten years as missionaries in Brasilia, Brazil. He has also been involved in short-term mission projects in different cities in Brazil, in St. Petersburg, Russia, and in Antalya, Turkey. Dr. Carpenter also served nine years as a volunteer with the Servico Auxiliar de Voluntarios of the Hospital de Base in Brasilia, Brazil. |

*Dudley Chancey, Ph.D. B.S., Tennessee Technological University M.S., Abilene Christian University Ph.D., University of Tennessee Office phone:405.425.5373 Email: Dudley Chancey Dr. Chancey works at OC because of the relationships with people and students. He enjoys “staying young and connected.” He is interested in researching adolescent spiritual formation, parenting adolescents, and adolescent culture. Dr. Chancey is involved in several professional organizations including the National Council on Family Relations, Groves Conference on Marriage and Family, Youth Ministry Educators, and the National Conference on Youth Ministries; he also a sponsor of the student club Pi. His favorite memories at OC are of seeing students “get out and get jobs, and make a difference in the world.” Dr. Chancey makes a difference in the world as well, not only does he love to teach, but he is dedicated to Honduras family mission trips and the new Latin American Studies abroad program at OC. He is married to Vicki and has two children, Drew and Matt. He attends Memorial Road Church of Christ. |

*Loren Gieger, Ph.D. B.A., Abilene Christian University M.Div., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Ph.D., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminiary Office phone: 405.425.5372 Email: Loren Gieger Dr. Gieger received the Gaylord Chair of Distinguished Teaching award. He has done special study at Harding Graduate School of Religion, and at Texas Christian University. He has gone on Sabbatical archeological studies in Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt. Dr. Gieger is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Near Eastern Archeological Society. He says, “I believe in Christian education and am committed to the restoration of New Testament Christianity. Dr. Gieger also enjoys model railroads, and shipbuilding. His wife is Iola, and they have three children: Leland, Gayland, and Shawn. Dr. Gieger preaches for Stroud, OK, Church of Christ, and he teaches Early Bird class at Memorial Road Church of Christ. |

*John Harrison, Ph.D. Chair, Graduate Bible B.A., David Lipscomb University M.A., Wheaton Graduate School Ph.D., University of Edinburgh Office phone: 405.425.5377 Dr. Harrison is in the Society of Biblical Literature, and the Institute of Biblical Research. He won the Waterman Award granted by Wheaton Graduate School for excellence in Christian leadership. His academic interests are Jesus in history, the parables of Jesus, and Ecclesiology. He published “Evangelical Society of Ulster” in the Store-Campbell Encyclopedia. He works at OC for “the opportunity to shape students who will help lead in churches, and help to transform and shape the expression of Christian faith.” His favorite memory is the Bible faculty synchronized swimming video. He is married to Sharon, and they have two sons: Joshua and Stewart. Dr. Harrison attends Memorial Road Church of Christ. He is an adult Bible class teacher, and he also takes mission trips to Ireland in the summer. |

*Stafford North, Ph.D. B.A., Abilene Christian University M.A., Louisiana State University Ph.D., University of Florida Office phone: 405.425.5380 Email: Stafford North Dr. North says that he works at OC because, “It is the best way for me to advance the Kingdom of God. Training our youth for the Lord’s service is extremely important—not only to prepare preachers and missionaries but to prepare people—all occupations—to be servants of God. Dr. North is a member of the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame. His main academic research is eschatology—the final events in the history of the world. His favorite memory of OC was “teaching the freshman orientation course for so many years.” His wife is Jo Anne and they have one son named David, and three daughters: Julie Anderson, Linda Parker, and Susan Moran. Dr. North is an Elder at Memorial Road Church of Christ. He is also a Bible class teacher, and he is involved in preaching seminars. Dr. North is also involved in prison ministry. *Alan Martin, Ph.D. Associate Professor of Family Ministry B.A., Harding University M.A., Abilene Christian University Ph.D., Michigan State University Office phone: 405.425.5371 Email: Alan Martin Dr. Martin’s doctoral research dealt with refugee adaptation to the USA. He has a penchant for inquiry and research in couple relationships, remarriage, and stepfamily issues. He is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the National Council on Family Relations. He works at OC “to prepare young adults for healthy future relationships in marriage and parenting.” He thoroughly enjoys reading, watching sports, golfing, and public speaking. He and his wife Linda have three children: Lee, Tina, and Kurt. He attends Edmond Church of Christ, and he is involved in the Outreach ministry, counseling ministry, and the family education ministry. |

He believes that “OC provides a tremendous opportunity to explore the integration of faith and learning.” He is interested in researching social justice in the Old Testament, the treatment of orphans in Isaiah, and the Biblical theory of children. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and has written five books. He wrote Loosening Your Grip, Up Close and Personal – Embracing the Poor, Children Mean the World to God, College Press NIV Commentary of the Minor Prophets, and It’s All About God. Shank is married to Sally Jane, and has two children: Daniel and Nathan. They attend Memorial Road Church of Christ. |
