Biblical Studies

Majors and non-majors alike learn from experienced ministers and professors with degrees from Oxford, Princeton, Stanford, Baylor, Brown, Wheaton, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, to name a few. In addition to biblical scholarship, OC students have hands-on ministry opportunities through a vocational ministry second major and through mission campaigns.

OC offers M.A. and M.Div. programs through the College of Biblical Studies, providing students with opportunities to further their education on the graduate level. Through the website, OC’s Biblical Studies faculty offer fully-developed lessons that equip teachers with important topics for high school and adult classes.

Mission Statement

Welcome to the College of Biblical Studies at Oklahoma Christian University. A complete education includes a study of spiritual matters, and we have professors who really care about students’ learning, personal lives, and kingdom priorities.

Courses in OC’s College of Biblical Studies present the Bible as the inspired word of God. Related courses deal with introductory background materials so students can better understand the Bible’s message. Biblical Greek is taught so students can choose to study the New Testament in the language in which it was first written.

We also offer courses dealing with the practical side of Christianity so students can be prepared to translate theory into practice in the home, in the church, and in society.

It is our goal to equip students for Christian faith, scholarship, and service through several means:

  1. Every OC undergraduate student takes a Bible class each semester.
  2. We offer seven major areas of study (degrees) in Bible at the undergraduate level (B.A. in Bible, Bible & Ministry, Missions, Children’s Ministry, Preaching Ministry, and Youth & Family Ministry), plus a second major called “Vocational Ministry.”
  3. We offer six minor areas of study in Bible (Biblical Languages, Church History, Missions, Non-textual Bible, Religious Education, and Youth Ministry).

Through our Graduate School of Theology, we offer a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree, a Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) degree, and a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry (M.A.C.M.) degree with majors in general ministry, family life ministry, and youth ministry. All our graduate and undergraduate degrees are fully accredited.

Transformation awaits you in OC’s College of Biblical Studies! (Romans 12:1-2)
