This Certification program is designed for anyone interested in ministering to children but lacks some of the proven skills that many schools and church are using today to train up children. It is ideal for those who are interested in a ministering to children and their families, are presently leading the children’s ministry in congregations, are graduates who now want to specialize in children’s ministry, and those who are ministry leaders or Bible class teachers desiring to acquire specialized training in Children’s Ministry. 

The Certification programs is composed of two Training Phases:

            Phase One: The first phase will take each student through ten different areas of instruction which will give each student a variety of knowledge, skills, and concepts that may be implemented in Children’s Ministry. 

            Phase Two: The second phase is a “Certification Seminar” which is the capstone of the program. Offered in May each year, case studies, student projects, guest speakers and interactive training will punctuate this rich experience.

The Certification program has been designed with reasonable expectations in mind. A student could easily complete the program in one year but two years are allowed if needed.

The modules are set up to open one at a time in the order shown.  When you have completed a module, the next one will open for you.  

Yes, Chris Rosser, the theological librarian at Oklahoma Christian University is doing an introductory online class for all students to help them with library access and answer any questions as needed.  

Yes, besides the capstone seminar, there will be weekly times when groups of students in the same module and the instructor will have interaction through google hangout.  

Admission to the Certification program requires completion of an Enrollment Form and $500 deposit.

The only time you will be on campus is for the Certification Seminar. By the time it is offered you will be excited to interact with our faculty and others preparing to minister to children.

The cost for the Certification is $1,500. This includes the e-text and the seminar. It does not include the cost of room and board during the 3-day seminar.  

The deposit of $500 is nonrefundable.   Tuition refunds (with the exception listed above) are made to students who officially withdraw from the Children’s Ministry Certification Program.  Refunds are given as follows:

o     If the withdrawal date is in the first 4 weeks of the program starting date, a 50% refund will be made.

o     If the withdrawal date is in weeks 5-8 of the program starting date, a 25% refund will be made.

o   After week 8, no refunds will be made
