"Electra"

Story: Electra’s father, King Agamemnon, has been murdered by her mother, Queen Clytemnestra, and Electra has been sent away to be married off to a farmer and to live in isolation. Many years later, Orestes, Electra’s brother, returns home. Electra, in a driving spirit of revenge, urges Orestes to right their father’s murder. When he hesitates, Electra takes up the sword herself. (Suitable for ages 12 and up)

Dr. Mike Gipson, Professor of Biology, has won two Templeton Foundation Grants for conference at Oxford and a Mellon Foundation Grant for study at Rice. He has published articles in the Journal of College Science Teaching and the Journal of Research in Science Technology. Dr. Gipson has also given research presentations at national and international conferences for twenty-six consecutive years.
