Herds and herds of cattle traveled
through Oklahoma on the famous cattle trails. Trails such as the Chisholm, Texas or Western, and the Shawnee brought new life to Oklahoma. Hardworking cowboys
drove their herds to market in Abilene or Dodge City, and these trails became highways across Oklahoma. The Butterfield Stage Trail also brought transportation
