Tours

Each spring, the Oklahoma Christian Department of Music sponsors two performance tours. The choral groups travel together on one tour, and the Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble join forces for the other. Tours can last up to fifteen days, but students don't typically miss classes to participate. Groups usually travel either during Spring Break or following the spring commencement exercises.

Faculty Facts

Kathy Thompson Dr. Kathy Thompson, Associate Professor of Music, is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music. Her academic interests include piano pedagogy, chamber music, and ear training for music. She teaches theory, private and class piano, piano pedagogy, and music education courses, and conducts the University Chamber Orchestra.
