Tours
Each spring, the Oklahoma Christian
Department of Music sponsors two performance tours. The choral
groups travel together on one tour, and the Symphonic
Band and Jazz Ensemble join forces for the other. Tours can last
up to fifteen days, but students don't typically miss classes to participate. Groups usually travel either during Spring Break or following
the spring commencement exercises.

Faculty Facts
Dr. Heath Jones, Associate Professor of Music, joined the OC faculty in 2000. He teaches applied saxophone and clarinet, music education, music technology, jazz improvisation, and directs the Jazz Ensemble and Sweat Band. He is an active professional performer in the Oklahoma City area. His performance experience includes the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, the Temptations, the Four Tops, Frankie Avalon, Jim Neighbors, and Leslie Gore.
