Dr. Maple primary research interests are medieval Europe, British History, and the British Restoration Movement. Since joining the OC faculty in 1977, he has taught a variety of courses in European history and Western Civilization. He has published articles in both The Historian and in Restoration Quarterly and presented papers at the Haskins Society conference, the Phi Alpha Theta National convention and the Mid-American Medieval Association Conference.

Dr. Thompson has been a member of OC faculty since 1980. His main research interest is African-American history. In addition to courses in African-American history and African Civilization, he teaches courses in Jacksonian America, the Civil War, and the Atlantic World. He has published articles in several encyclopedias including Black Woman's Encyclopedia, Encyclopedia of the Great Plains, and The Encyclopedia of Oklahoma History and Culture.; Dr. Thompson also has presented papers at the Oklahoma Association of Professional Historians, the Mid-America History Conference, the Association of Afro-America History and Literature, and the Christian Scholars Conference.

Dr. McCook joined the OC faulty in 2002. His research interests are within the scope of American religious and intellectual history, but he also teaches courses in Revolutionary America, Recent America, Women's History and Middle Eastern History. He has published in the Stone-Campbell Journal and The Tariff Encyclopedia, and has presented papers at the Florida Conference of Historians. He received the ACU Student Teacher of the Year award in 1995. Dr. McCook has a secondary education certification from Texas. He is in the American Society of Church History, Organization of American Historians, and the Society of History Education. He enjoys playing guitar, golf, and basketball He and his wife Alyssa have two children: Collin and Katie. Dr. McCook is a deacon, and a Bible class teacher at Memorial Road Church of Christ.

Dr. Huston teaches courses in American Politics, International Relations, and Geography. He is academically interested in terrorism, and religion and politics. Dr. Huston is a member of the American Political Science Association, the Southwestern Political Science Association, and the Oklahoma Political Science Association. He received a research grant for travel to the Middle East from the National Council on US-Arab Relations in 2000-2001. He is the sponsor for Sigma Chi Sigma, and Pi Sigma Alpha. Huston enjoys golf, making pens, and woodwork. He attends Edmond Church of Christ where he is an adult Bible class teacher.
