University Newspaper

OC students reading the TalonThe Talon is Oklahoma Christian University's student-run newspaper.

Students have the opportunity to write, edit, photograph and learn the production programs Adobe Photoshop and Adobe PageMaker.

The Talon gives students the opportunity to create work for their portfolios while allowing them to understand and participate in the complete production of a newspaper. The Talon comes out each Friday, with the main production occuring on Tuesday night of each week.

Dr. Philip Patterson, the faculty sponsor, advises and guides the staff in the production process. The Talon is also used to help polish students' writing skills.

The Talon fills workshop requirements for all communication majors who are required to take four hours of workshop to graduate.
