Interior Systems
Prerequisites: ARTS-1623 and ARTS-1653.
ARTS-3613: A study of interior lighting design, acoustics and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems. A lighting project is assigned to help students learn how to use electrical and lighting symbols and how to write a lighting schedule. The course also covers natural energy sources with attention to insulation techniques and the structural types of passive-solar and earth-sheltered. This course is normally offered in the fall semester.
