Gaming + Animation

During their studies at OC in Gaming + Animation, aspiring game artists and animation students are introduced to the tools and principles used by the animation and game development industries. Students will develop social bonds with fellow Gaming + Animation students through studio and conference field trips, classroom critiques, and exploring animation and game development career opportunities.

Students in the Gaming + Animation degree, will learn the technology and art of video game design, animation, both of traditional, 3D, and experimental animation. The students will explore contemporary techniques and genres. Their classes will cover storyboarding, storytelling techniques, pre and post-production, and sound. They will also be exposed to the history of film, video and animation.


For students interested in a career in video game design, there is only one school in Oklahoma among the top 50 in the country. Oklahoma Christian University was selected as one of the top undergraduate gaming design programs by The Princeton Review and GamePro magazine.
