Oklahoma Christian University is a member of the NAIA and the Sooner Athletic Conference, recognized as the premier small-college conference in the nation. The university fields teams in men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track and field, men's golf, and women's softball.

Oklahoma Christian is a perennial contender on the national scene. Oklahoma Christian finished seventh in the NAIA All-Sports Standings in 2002-03, qualifying 11 of the university's 12 athletic programs for national tournaments and winning the 2003 national championship in men's tennis. All of OC's athletic programs have advanced to the NAIA national tournament at least once in the last five years, with student-athletes honored as NAIA All-Americans and NAIA Scholar-Athletes in a variety of sports on an annual basis.

The OC Cage Camp program, the largest basketball camp of its kind west of the Mississippi River, celebrated its 20th year of operation last year. The camps annually attract more than 3,000 young people to campus.
